Fixed fire, ruled by the Sun — steady authority and the need to be seen.
- Modality
- Sthira — fixed. Holds, consolidates, resists being moved.
- Element
- Agni — fire. Direction, will, visibility.
- Ruled by
- Sun
Fixed fire: a flame that stays lit rather than one that flares. Siṁha holds position, and a graha here acts with a certain amount of ceremony — it wants its action acknowledged.
The Sun rules it, and it is the only sign the Sun rules, which makes it unusually singular. No graha is exalted or debilitated here, so the sign’s character comes almost entirely from solar dignity: standing, self-possession, and the risk of mistaking display for substance.
- authority
- dignity
- display
- leadership
- the heart
